Nigeria legend Daniel Amokachi has thrown his weight behind England international of Nigerian descent Tammy Abraham following the striker's loan move to Turkish giants BeÅŸiktaÅŸ.
Amokachi remains a beloved figure among BeÅŸiktaÅŸ supporters, having spent four memorable years at the Istanbul club, where he scored 25 goals and provided 23 assists in 112 appearances.
Abraham has completed his move to BeÅŸiktaÅŸ, joining the 16-time Super Lig champions on a season-long loan with an option to buy included in the deal for the attacker, who was heavily courted by former Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick before he became cap-tied to England.
Beşiktaş will pay AS Roma a net loan fee of €2 million for the 2025-2026 season, with a clause in the agreement stipulating that should certain conditions be met, the transfer will become permanent.
In that case, the Turkish club will pay Roma €13 million in instalments starting from the 2026-2027 season, with payments spread until 2030.
With spells at Chelsea, Aston Villa, AC Milan and AS Roma, Abraham is seen as a marquee signing by BeÅŸiktaÅŸ.
In a heartfelt message, Amokachi, affectionately known as 'The Bull' during his playing days, expressed his belief in Abraham's potential to thrive in the black-and-white stripes of BeÅŸiktaÅŸ.
Amokachi told Süperbahis:"Tammy, I see the potential in you to become the next Black Bull.
"I believe in you and I'm sure that as long as you keep scoring goals, this big Besiktas family will love you more and more.
"You can count on that. This season is going to be something special."
Abraham will earn a guaranteed salary of six million euros in his first season at BeÅŸiktaÅŸ.
