Torino Reveal Exactly Why Aina Withdrew From Super Eagles Squad & Have NFF's Support

Italian Serie A club Torino have revealed through their official website that Chelsea loanee Ola Aina was forced to pull out of the Nigeria squad for the upcoming games against Seychelles and Egypt to enable the defender receive further treatment.

Aina's sudden withdrawal from the Super Eagles roster initially did not add up as he more or less went the distance for Torino against Bologna at the weekend, and The Maroons had announced he was one of their players called up for international duty shortly after the match.

Torino have confirmed that the Nigeria Football Federation approved their decision for the wing-back to remain in Italy.

''Treatment for Ola Aina, who in agreement with the medical staff of Granata and that of his national team, will miss Nigeria's next two games to treat the after-effects of the abdominal rectum (suffered in the Turin-Chievo warm up),'' Torino stated in a medical bulletin published on Wednesday.

In the meantime, Aina is expected to miss Torino's first three league matches after the international break against Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Parma following his red card against Bologna.
