Fulham, who have in their first-team ranks five Nigeria-eligible players in Tosin Adarabioyo, Ola Aina, Josh Onomah, Ademola Lookman and Josh Maja, have made an immediate return to the Championship.
The Cottagers suffered relegation with three games to go after they were beaten 2-0 by Burnley on Monday.
Central defender Adarabioyo is a key member of the side that failed to escape relegation, starting 30 Premier League games in total.
The Manchester City academy product explained that Fulham are going down to the Championship because they conceded cheap goals and were unable to score enough goals.
On what went wrong for the Whites, Adarabioyo said to the club's official website : "I couldn’t tell you to be honest, I can’t put it down to one thing, there’s been a few things throughout a lot of different games.
"Some games we’ve conceded goals which we shouldn’t have, which resulted in us not getting the points that we needed, and other games it was not being able to score goals.
"It’s been a mix of both ends of the pitch throughout the season really."
Scott Parker's team will take on Southampton in their next top-flight game on Saturday before facing Manchester United in their final home game next Tuesday.
