Tottenham Hotspur Midfielder Onomah Receives Maiden England U21 Call Up; Iorfa Injured
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder of Nigerian descent Josh Onomah has received a maiden call-up to the England U21 squad ahead of their Euro qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.<br /><br />The 19-year-old was originally included in the U20s roster for this international break, but has been promoted one step following an injury sustained by Derby County’s Will Hughes.<br /><br />Thus, two players of Nigerian descent could make their international debuts for England U21s this month, with Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham also in the squad list.<br /><br /><span>Injured Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dominic Iorfa has remained at his club undergoing treatment, but could play a part in the qualifier with </span>Bosnia & Herzegovina if he recovers.<br /><br />Onomah has made three appearances for the first team of Spurs this term and netted his first senior goal in the League Cup triumph against Gillingham.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : Twitter.com<br />
