Carney Chukwuemeka has seemingly been named in Chelsea's provisional squad for their Premier League opener against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday evening.
The 2022 European U19 Championship winner of Nigerian descent was once again involved with the first team as they rounded up their preparations before their trip to Merseyside.
Chukwuemeka no longer has the honour of being Chelsea's newest recruit after the Blues confirmed the capture of versatile Brighton & Hove defender Marc Cucurella on a six-year contract on Friday, a day after the Anglo-Nigerian completed his move to Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard was pictured in the Chelsea changing room with Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah before they headed to the training ground.

Chukwuemeka is eligible to make his competitive debut for Chelsea against Everton as his transfer was completed before 1200 hours on Friday, August 5.
The 18-year-old is competing with more experienced players such as Conor Gallagher, Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Mateo KovaÄić and Ruben Loftus-Cheek for a starting spot in midfield.
Chukwuemeka received thirty-eight call-ups for Premier League games during his time at Aston Villa. .
