With a statement on the official website, newly promoted Russian Premier League club FC Baltika Kaliningrad have announced the signing of Nigerian forward Tenton Yenne.
By signing a three-year contract with the Russian First League champions, Yenne ended his association with Armenian Premier League club FC Ararat-Armenia.
Yenne learned his trade at Golden Boot Soccer Academy Jos, which produced Super Eagles forwards Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu.
Over the course of four seasons in Armenia, Yenne featured in 113 matches for Ararat-Armenia, scoring 46 goals and supplying 24 assists.
The 24-year-old leaves FC Ararat-Armenia holding the record as the club's all-time top scorer since its formation eight years ago.
Yenne is currently one of the top three scorers in the Armenian championship, having found the net 17 times this season.
He began his professional career in Europe with AS Trencin, followed by spells at Senica, Zilina and Noravank, before transferring to Ararat-Armenia in the summer of 2022.
Last season, former Nigeria U17 international Olakunle Olusegun and forward Moses Cobnan helped Krasnodar win the Russian Premier League, scoring six goals between them.
