Done Deal : Kenneth Omeruo Extends Chelsea Contract
Published: May 29, 2014
Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo has put to an end the speculations surrounding his future at Chelsea by signing a fresh deal.
The central defender broke the news on his official Instagram account without revealing the financial details and length of contract.
The 20 - year - old’s former agreement was due to expire at the end of next season, and reports had strongly linked him with a move to Lille in France.
There is no guarantee that Jose Mourinho will hand him a first team shirt next season, and the logical option is for him to go on loan to another team next season just as he did in January.
Kenneth Omeruo has had two consecutive loan spells at ADO Den Haag and Middlesbrough.
