It Is NOT True Schalke 04 Want Michael Babatunde - Club Insider
Published: July 10, 2014
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that reports linking Nigeria international Michael Babatunde with a move to Bundesliga side Schalke 04 are incorrect, a club insider has told this website.
This is not the first time the 21 - year - old has been linked erroneously to Schalke 04 just to test the market for the player.
Five years ago, the same writer from africanfootball.com wrote he was wanted by Barcelona, Galatasaray and Schalke 04.
“It is not true Schalke 04 have tabled an offer for Michael Babatunde. That is a lie. We do not know this player,” a club insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Michael Babatunde was a surprise inclusion in the Super Eagles World Cup roster, having scored a paltry 4 goals in 67 matches ever since he arrived the Ukrainian championship, despite being an offensive player.
