Defender Harmony Ikande Issues Ultimatum To Hapoel Tel Aviv Coach
Published: December 13, 2014
Hapoel Tel Aviv defender Harmony Ikande has threatened to depart the
Israeli club next month because he is being played out of position by
manager Asi Domb.
Primarily a midfielder, the ex Nigeria youth international was blamed by his own teammates for two of the goals conceded by the club in their 3 - 1 loss to Ashdod last weekend.
“I am tired, It’s not my job, and I’d rather sit on the bench or not be at Hapoel than continue as a defender.
“I can help a lot more group midfield and defense. I have no problem to replace the defenders in a game or two if necessary, but certainly not regularly play that role,” says Harmony Ikande to Sports Walla.
Ikande and Hapoel Tel Aviv reached an agreement in August that both parties can severe ties in the January transfer window.
The 24 - year - old will not be included in the starting lineup for Saturday’s tie with Maccabi Petah Tikva in the Premier league.
