NFF To Investigate Emem Eduok Transfer Imbroglio
Published: January 05, 2015
The Nigeria Football Federation will investigate the circumstances that led to Emem Eduok signing contracts with Sarpsborg 08 and Esperance in the same month.
The 20 - year - old was first recruited by Sarpsborg in mid - December on a four - year deal after informing the Norwegian club that his economic rights were warehoused by A&B Academy and not Dolphins.
The Super Eagles invitee then made a clandestine trip to Tunisia, with the blessing of Dolphins, where he played on loan last season, to sign a three - and - a - half year contract with Esperance.
“Look at the cloud of controversy over the transfer of one of our brightest stars, Emem Eduok.
“That is a shame and should not happen. We will investigate this matter and come up with recommendations.
“Whoever is found culpable will have questions to answer,” said Amaju Pinnick, the NFF president.
Regarding this dispute, football governing body, Fifa, will suspend Emem Eduok for at least three months if he is found guilty.of willingly entering into an employment contract with Esperance despite having an existing one with S08.
