Broke Dolphins Stranded In Tiffany Hotel, Port Harcourt Ahead Of Confederation Cup Fixture
Published: February 13, 2015
One of Nigeria’s representatives in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup , Dolphins, are in danger of being walked over by Leonas Vegeterianos FC of Equatorial Guinea as they are stranded in Port Harcourt, less than 40 hours to start of the game.
Recall that allnigeriasoccer.com had published on its website 10 days ago that the Federation Cup finalist were experiencing a negative cash flow, and the League Management Company(LMC) had to bail them out with =N=2 million before they could participate at the Super 6 tourney.
As it is, Dolphins players are waiting to hear from the management whether or not they will travel to Equatorial Guinea on Friday after the trip was postponed on Thursday for the simple reason that there was no cash.
Whatever the case, Dolphins need to be tutored on how to manage scarce resources as they have incurred unnecessary hotel bills by accommodating the players at Tiffany Hotel near Airport Road for the past 14 days.
You don’t need to be an economist to know that the accommodation expenses (except it is an accrued expense) would have been channeled towards the trip to Equatorial Guinea.
It is worthy of note that the players have not participated in training since Wednesday evening.
