Kalmar Reach Agreement With Seyi Olofinjana Over Transfer Of Taiwo Awoniyi
Published: June 16, 2015
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Kalmar have agreed terms with Imperial Soccer Academy over the transfer of Nigeria Under 20 international Taiwo Awoniyi amid interest from other European clubs.
Based on the agreement reached between the parties, Seyi Olofinjana’s academy would have pocketed €150,000 by the time the Flying Eagles striker makes his 60th appearance for the Swedish club.
However, we have to bear in mind that the Nigeria Football Federation is yet to rule on the bonafide club that owns his registration rights, after United Academy, Ilorin petitioned the local football regulator.
If that impasse is not thrown into the mix, this website can confirm that Olofinjana will be paid €25,000 when Awoniyi makes his 10th start for the senior team of Kalmar in competitive matches.
The former Stoke City and Hull City midfielder pocketed €25,000 for convincing Taiwo Awoniyi to sign a pre - contract with Kalmar.
The Flying Eagles star is expected to sign his first professional deal with Kalmar as from August 12.
