Former Golden Eaglets star Macauley Chrisantus is preparing to bid farewell to AEK Athens in the January transfer window after a publicized dispute with the leadership of the club.
Greek website Gazzetta.gr has hinted that a return to Spain may be on the cards for the former Las Palmas striker, with Elche showing interest in acquiring him.
Macauley Chrisantus is not only studying an offer from Spain, as an unnamed Major League Soccer club have approached him.
The 25 - year - old has been inactive in the Super League since November 8 when he lasted 19 minutes in AEK Athens 1 - 0 loss to Asteras Tripolis.
AEK Athens tied the former Hamburg and Sivasspor man down until June 30, 2018 when he signed a deal in February this year.
