Nottingham Forest Chasing Former Manchester United Midfielder
Published: July 18, 2018Having made eight new additions this season, the Nottingham Forest is now looking for the latest player that they can add to their squad.
If recent news is to be believed, the former Manchester United midfielder Tosin Kehinde is getting offers for joining the Nottingham forest and Derby County as well.
The 20-year-old lad grabbed eyeballs with his performance in the last seasons. Originally from Lagos, he was brought up in the United Kingdom.
With Betway football betting site now available in Nigeria, sports fans can bet on their favorite teams easily, anytime they want. So, if Tosin does make the move to Nottingham Forest, you could bet on him easily!
A look at Tosin’s Career Till Now
Earlier, Tosin played for Tottenham. His impressive range of passing the ball and skills have made him a hot favorite among the clubs.
After being nominated for the club’s goal of the month award for his striking goal against the Chelsea, this player even managed a training session with Mourinho. This speaks a lot in itself.
If a player so young catches Mourinho's eyes, he sure has the fire. Kehinde benefited form the shortage of good midfielders in the first team.
Having impressed everyone with his soccer skills, it is now just the matter of time to see him in the major leagues. Looks like the other clubs too got warmed up and wish to have him as soon as possible.
Since his contract expired at the Manchester United, he is getting offers from a number of clubs. According to the reports, clubs from Spain, Holland, and Austria are also interested.
However, the clubs face the major hurdle in terms of compensation demanded by the Manchester United. It demands a whopping £500,000 for compensation.
The Nigerian football federation is keeping a close eye on his future contracts. The current proposed contract with the Old Trafford is the one that is under discussion.
If Kehinde's own statement is to be believed, he has already surpassed his own personal goals. At the beginning of 2017/18, he had aimed merely to have a reserved spot. But towards the end, he is training with Mourinho and getting offers from all the major clubs.
When asked about his training session with Mourinho, he states that the Portuguese coach is proving everyone’s doubts wrong. Along with being a supporting coach, he is also working towards the skill enhancements of his players.
We can clearly see that Mourinho is looking for new and fresh infusions in the team to keep its spirits high. Looks like the kid’s efforts are finally paying off. And understandably, his desire to move into the first team is seen as a futuristic goal.
As an under 23 player, there are limited chances and goals. But when this player is ready to get into the first team and show his skills, it is high time that his talent is given the right spot.
As a regular in the Ricky Sbragia's U-23 team, he surpassed the personal goals of performance.
