Liverpool's Nigerian Winger Wanted By Middlesbrough, Reading & Wolfsburg
Published: July 24, 2018Nigerian winger Sheyi Ojo might depart Liverpool before the close of the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
Reds manager Jürgen Klopp has done some incoming transfer business in the ongoing window, signing four players Alisson, Naby Keïta, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri, and it is envisaged that he will sanction a loan move for Ojo so that he can continue his development instead of playing for the U23s or rotting on the bench.
According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, Middlesbrough, Wolfsburg and Reading have inquired about signing Ojo.
The England U21 star is valued at £15m by the Merseysiders, therefore a loan move is the most likely option.
Liverpool signed Ojo from Milton Keynes Dons in 2011, and had previously loaned him out to Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham in the last three years.
The U20 World Cup-winning winger was in Liverpool's traveling squad to America and came off the bench against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
