Ex-Nigeria U23 Invitee Uche Ikpeazu Marks Hearts Home Debut With A Goal
Published: July 25, 2018Former Dream Team VI invitee Uche Ikpeazu scored his first competitive goal for Heart of Midlothian in their 5-0 rout of Cowdenbeath in Tuesday's Betfred Cup group stage match at Tynecastle Stadium (Edinburgh).
The home team took the lead two minutes after the restart before Uche doubled the advantage on 64 minutes when he picked the ball up 20 yards from goal, turned his man before firing into the net.
The former Reading and Watford starlet joined Hearts on a two-year deal this summer and made his debut for the Scottish Premiership side against Cove Rangers on July 18, coming off the bench for the last ten minutes of the encounter.
Uche took to social media to celebrate his goal shortly after yesterday's game, tweeting : ''Just like I dreamt it...delighted to score my first goal on my home debut and receive man of the match!

Uche Ikpeazu previously turned out for English teams Crewe Alexandra, Doncaster Rovers, Port Vale, Blackpool and Cambridge United before moving to Scotland.
