London Football Awards 2019: Queens Park Rangers' Eze Misses Out On YPOTY Accolade
Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze has missed out on the Young Player of the Year at the London Football Awards 2019 that took place in Battersea on Thursday evening.

The former Super Eagles invitee was nominated for the YPOTY alongside Karlan Grant (ex-Charlton Athletic),Mattéo Guendouzi (Arsenal), Declan Rice (West Ham United) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Crystal Palace).

Three Lions hopeful Rice saw off competition from Eze and three other players to win the accolade.

The independent judging panel comprises of representatives from football administration and the media .

Eze was nominated for the award on the back of his impressive form for Queens Park Rangers, for whom he has started 31 out of 34 matches in the Championship and scored four goals.

The 20-year-old has earned two caps for England U20s this season, against Italy and Germany.
