Manchester United defender Matthew Olosunde pulled on a United States U23 jersey with the number 2 at its back for the first time in his career as the Americans lost 2-0 to U23 AFCON hosts Egypt in a friendly on Friday.

In the match staged at at Pinatar Arena, Olosunde started and played for 45 minutes. He now has caps for USMNT, USA U15, USA U16, USA U17 and USA U20 teams.

United States U20s came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with France on Friday, with Toronto FC's Ayo Akinola going the distance for the North Americans at San Pedro del Pinatar.

On Saturday, Southampton starlet Jonathan Afolabi was on target five minutes from time as Ireland U19s beat Azerbaijan 3-1 in the UEFA European Under-19 Championships Elite Round.

The striker, who played the full game, notched a brace and provided an assist in the 5-0 rout of Romania on March 20. 

Derby County's Festy Ebosele came off the bench in the 93rd minute vs Azerbaijan. He was an unused sub against Romania.

Cork City's  Lauren Egbuloniu came on at half-time as Republic of Ireland Women's Under-17 team lost 2-0 to Germany in Edinburgh. She was later substituted in the 84th minute.

Elsewhere, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka and Manchester City midfielder Felix Nmecha entered action in the 46th and 71st minute respectively as England U19s fell 2-1 to Greece at St. George's Park in their second elite round qualifier.

FC Basel's Noah Okafor started and was in action for 78 minutes in Switzerland U19s 3-2 loss to France in an U19 EURO qualifier.

Highly-rated Admira Wacker defender Emanuel Aiwu made his debut for Austria U20 in a 1-0 loss to Norway U20 in an international friendly at Thermenarena Frauenkirchen. He played only the first half.
