Snapped : Super Eagles-eligible player named in Chelsea's traveling squad v Leicester
Published: March 11, 2023Super Eagles-eligible player Noni Madueke is in contention to make his fifth appearance in the English Premier League when Chelsea take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, kickoff 1600 hours Nigerian time.
The Blues are back in domestic action after progressing to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday by beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Madueke is available for the match against The Foxes after he was left out of the squad against Dortmund due to ineligibility.
The Chelsea players headed to the East Midlands on Friday, with Madueke included in the traveling squad, images uploaded on the club's social media accounts confirm.
The England U21 international of Nigerian descent visited the King Power Stadium last year.
He was in the PSV side the held Leicester City to a goalless draw in a Europa Conference League encounter in April 2022.
Nigeria internationals Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi should be available for selection against the opponents from London.
Chelsea will be aiming to end their eight-match away winless streak against Leicester City. Their last away win was at Aston Villa on October 16, 2022.
