Brentford send scout to watch Super Eagles player who shone in AFCONQ v Guinea-Bissau
Published: April 15, 2023English Premier League side Brentford are set to send a representative to watch Super Eagles right-back, Bright Osayi-Samuel, in action this weekend when Fenerbahce host Ankaragücü in the Turkish Super Lig, according to Turkish outlet Fotomac.
Despite struggling to nail down a place in Fenerbahce's starting XI, the Bees are keen on signing the former Queens Park Rangers dazzler.
Brentford want to strengthen their right-back position, which is currently being occupied by Aaron Hickey, ahead of next season.
Osayi-Samuel has made 19 appearances for Fenerbahce in the league this season, starting 8 times and being brought on as a substitute 11 times and has registered 2 assists.
Brentford are not the only side interested in the right-back, Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens would also like to add him to their ranks.
While Osayi-Samuel might be struggling to nail a place in Fenerbahce's starting XI, he proved his potential at the last international break when he shone for the Super Eagles in a two-legged tie against Guinea-Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Blackpool academy product is tied to the Yellow Canaries until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
