Chelsea boss Pochettino to decide on loaning Chukwuemeka without an option to buy clause
Published: June 12, 2023New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino will have to make a decision on whether or not to loan Carney Chukwuemeka without an option to buy clause in the summer transfer window.
This is according to transfer Guru, Fabrizio Romano who tweeted on Monday morning that the future of the England underage International of Nigerian descent will be determined by Pochettino.
The Argentine tactician is yet to resume official duties and will run the rule over the large chunk of players at the club as they get set for a busy summer.
Chelsea's finances will be affected by their inactivity in Europe next season and they are ready to move on players that Pochettino find surplus to requirements.
Chukwuemeka could likely be affected as he struggled for game time last season, starting just two matches in all competitions.
The 19-year-old is held in high regard by the Blues hierarchy and there's no plan to include a buy option in the event that he is loaned out.
Chelsea's stance is unlikely to change even with Pochettino's arrival.
The former Aston Villa wonderkid has been linked with a transfer to AC Milan who want him on loan with an option to buy clause.
