Tri-national goalkeeper Khari Ranson is in contention to receive his first-ever call-up to a senior matchday squad on Wednesday evening when Premier League table-toppers Arsenal face Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Born in London, Ranson is eligible to represent the Super Eagles and Black Stars through his Nigerian father and Ghanaian mother respectively.
However, the talented shot-stopper is provisionally cap-tied to England after making his first competitive appearance for the Young Lions in a European U19 Championship qualifier against Latvia in November 2025.
Ranson has trained regularly with Arsenal's first team but has yet to be named in a matchday squad for an official fixture.
Last month, he was selected as the third-choice goalkeeper for the FA Cup clash against Wigan Athletic, meaning he would have been named on the bench had either Kepa Arrizabalaga or Tommy Setford suffered an injury during the pre-match warm-up.
Ranson and two other Nigeria-eligible teenagers, Andre Harriman-Annous and Ife Ibrahim, trained with Arsenal's first team at the Sobha Realty Training Centre on Tuesday.
Following the session, the goalkeeper was included in the Gunners' travelling squad and subsequently boarded the team flight at Luton Airport.
Ranson will wear the number 79 shirt if he makes his UEFA Champions League debut for Arsenal.
