German clubs RB Leipzig and Schalke 04 as well as several unnamed Premier League teams are reportedly interested in signing Nigerian-eligible playmaker Francis Onyeka ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The highly-rated teenager has enjoyed an impressive campaign with VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga 2 after joining the club on loan from reigning Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.
Onyeka has emerged as one of the standout young performers in the German second division, scoring eight goals and providing one assist in 31 appearances across all competitions this season.
His performances have reportedly attracted the attention of several European clubs, with Fussballdaten claiming that Leipzig and Schalke are among the sides monitoring him.
The growing interest has further intensified speculation surrounding the future of the versatile attacking midfielder ahead of what is expected to be a busy transfer window in Germany.
Despite the interest from rival clubs, Bayer Leverkusen are understood to still regard Onyeka as an important part of their long-term plans.
The youngster remains under contract with the club until June 2028, but reports suggest Leverkusen could consider offers should a significant bid arrive during the summer.
The German champions are reportedly expected to value Onyeka between €30 million and €35 million as they seek to raise funds for potential new signings.
While Leverkusen would reportedly prefer to sanction a move to the English Premier League rather than strengthen a direct domestic rival, serious offers from Bundesliga clubs are also expected to be taken into consideration.
Onyeka has also impressed at youth level with the German U19 national team, although he remains eligible to represent the Nigerian senior national team internationally.
