Nigeria national-teamer Henry Onyekuru was on target as Anderlecht
defeated Royal Excel Mouscron 2-1 on game week 15 in the Belgian First
Division A on Saturday evening.
With ten minutes remaining on the
clock, the Everton loanee hit his eighth goal of the season from close
range after a defense-splitting pass from Algeria star Sofiane Hanni.
Another Premier League loanee in the shape of Liverpool's Taiwo Awoniyi put in a full shift against the Belgian champions.
Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws
has reported that English clubs Manchester United, Stoke City,
Southampton and Fulham sent their scouts to watch the match between Royal
Excel Mouscron and Anderlecht.
Barcelona, Atalanta, Genoa,
Fiorentina, Bielefeld, Lorient, Guingamp, Caen, Lens, Saint-Etienne,
Ajax and PSV spies were also present at Stade Le Canonnier (Mouscron).
Onyekuru,
20, earned his second cap for the Super Eagles in their 1-1 draw with Algeria about a
week ago, and traveled with the national team to Krasnodar for a friendly with
Argentina but was a non-playing substitute.
He penned a multi-year contract with the Toffees in the summer transfer window.
