Official: Notts County Loan In Promising Midfielder From Liverpool
EFL League Two club Notts County have completed the loan signing of Liverpool midfielder Matty Virtue until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old is Notts County's second acquisition of the January transfer window and will be hoping to make his professional debut while at Meadow Lane.
In his first words after signing the contract, Virtue said to nottscountyfc.co.uk : ''It's a massive opportunity for me. It's my first loan move - I've needed to come out and get games and this is the perfect place with the gaffer and the experienced players in the squad.
"Coming here to work with Kevin Nolan was a huge pull. I want to be a goalscoring midfielder and I think I can learn and progress a lot under him.''
Matty Virtue was a Chelsea player before he joined Liverpool at U11 level.
In 13 outings for Liverpool U23s in the Premier League 2 this season, he has found the net three times.
