A month after scoring his first senior goal for Peterborough United, Nigerian forward Pemi Aderoju has signed a new long-term contract with the League One club.
In a statement published on the club’s official website on Monday, Peterborough United confirmed that Aderoju has committed his long-term future to the club after putting pen to paper on a new deal.
The 21-year-old netted his maiden goal for the Posh in a resounding 6-1 victory over Wigan Athletic, finding the back of the net just twelve minutes after coming off the bench.
Aderoju joined Peterborough United in January 2024 following a successful trial, having previously featured for non-league sides Kempston Rovers and Biggleswade Town.
He initially began his time at the club with the U21s before earning promotion to the first team, where he has made eleven appearances across all competitions, accumulating 189 minutes of playing time.
In search of regular game time, the forward has also enjoyed loan spells with Farnborough, Eastbourne Borough and Boston United.
He was recalled from his loan at Eastbourne Borough in December 2025 after a prolific spell with the National League South side, during which he scored 20 goals in all competitions, including 15 in the league.
