Victor Osimhen has admitted that Antalyaspor were tough opponents and made Galatasaray work hard in Saturday's Super Lig clash at Rams Park that secured the title with a game to spare.
The Nigeria international scored a brace to inspire the Istanbul giants to a fourth consecutive league title.
A headed strike from Mario Lemina cancelled out Soner Dikmen’s first half goal, but the Antalyaspor midfielder completed his brace to hand the visitors a 2-1 lead by the 61st minute.
However, the closing stages belonged to Osimhen, who won and converted a penalty in the 66th minute to bring Galatasaray level.
The Super Eagles star then completed the comeback with a dramatic winner in the 88th minute.
Speaking after the match, Osimhen expressed his delight at Galatasaray's resilience in a crucial game that sealed the championship.
"This is the kind of game that shows why we are Galatasaray. We always come back from every difficulty, and I'm really happy with the team's performance," Osimhen told beIN SPORTS Türkiye.
The forward also reserved praise for Antalyaspor, acknowledging the challenge posed by the visitors throughout the contest.
"We also have to say that the opponents gave us a great game. They (Antalyaspor) gave us a hard time, but just as I said earlier, this is the reason we are Galatasaray, and we have come through.
"We have won the league, and now we have to celebrate."
Osimhen scored fifteen goals and provided five assists in 22 Super Lig outings this season.
