Algerian FA Agree Terms With Ex-Belgium, Tunisia Coach Ahead Of Nigeria WCQ

The Algerian Football Federation have agreed terms with Belgian coach <span class=\"notranslate\">Georges Leekens to manage the Desert Foxes ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Nigeria on November 12.<br /><br />The Algerian Federation have been hunting for a new manager after </span><span class=\"st\">Milovan Rajevac resigned in the wake of the national team</span>&rsquo;s 1-1 draw with Cameroon in October. <br /><br />In football parlance, <span class=\"notranslate\">Leekens is now a free agent after recently mutually terminating his contract with Lokeren, and is expected in Algiers in the next 48 hours for his unveiling, Le Buteur has reported. <br /><br />He was coach of the Algerian national team for a short spell in 2003, only six months.<br /><br />The 67-year-old retired Belgium international has also handled the Tunisian and Belgian national teams, Cercle Brugge, Anderlecht, Roda, Gent and Trabzonspor among others. <br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /></span>
