Aliyu Abubakar Reveals Clause In KuPS Contract Stipulating He Must Be Released For Olympic Games

KuPS defender Aliyu Abubakar has revealed that there&rsquo;s a clause interested into his contract that stipulates that the the Finnish Veikkausliiga side have to release him to the national teams whenever he is invited.<br /><br />It is confirmed beyond reasonable doubt that the former Golden Eaglets defender has been named to the Dream Team VI provisional roster for the 2016 Olympic Games.<br /><br />But his participation had been in doubt, that is if he makes the 18-player roster in the first place, as the Finnish top-flight will be in full swing during the Olympic Games and Euro clubs can&rsquo;t be forced to release players on their rosters by Fifa.<br /><br />&ldquo;Yes, KuPS will release me for the Olympic Games if I am invited. It is part of my contract, any national team call up has to be accepted by them,&rdquo;Aliyu Abubakar told <b>allnigeriasoccer.com</b>.<br /><br />&ldquo;I am not aware I am in the provisional squad but I would love to play in the Olympic Games.
