Speaking after scoring his first goal as a professional, Faustino Anjorin noted that Lokomotiv Moscow fans remind him of Chelsea and England supporters.
The England youth international of Nigerian descent came off the bench to salvage a draw for the Muscovites in a 1-1 draw with Marseille in their opening match of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
It was a precious point for Lokomtiv Moscow as they played with ten men for more than thirty minutes in the second half after Nair Tiknizyan saw red for a second bookable offence.
"Yes, of course, the match was not easy. Especially considering the fact that most of the second half we played in the minority," Anjorin said to the official website of the Railwaymen.
"But, nevertheless, the guys found the strength to play with dignity, defended themselves. And, in the end, they managed to score and level the score.
"It was not easy to play. Even in equal compositions. Marseille are a very good team, they play very fast football.
"There were one fewer of us, and I think that thanks to this the guys were able to liberate themselves, they realized that in such a moment you just need to play to the end.
"Many thanks to the fans for their support from the first to the last minute. It was very hot and very loud. It reminded me of England and Chelsea - in terms of energy, the intensity that was in the stands."
Anjorin has been loaned out to Lokomotiv Moscow for the remainder of the season with an option to buy set at 20million euros included in the deal.
