Super Eagles right-back attracts interest from Everton ahead of summer transfer window

Ryan Alebiosu has emerged as a name to watch ahead of the summer window, with Everton closely tracking the Nigerian defender after a standout season at Blackburn Rovers, according to a report by journalist Ekrem Konur, via ReadEverton.

The 24-year-old has caught the attention of the Premier League side following a string of impressive performances in the Championship, where he has established himself as one of the most reliable full-backs in the division.

The Merseyside club are keen to strengthen their defensive options, and Alebiosu fits the profile they are targeting.

Everton’s interest comes amid ongoing concerns over the right-back position, an area that has been affected by injuries and inconsistency throughout the campaign.

The club are now actively exploring solutions, and Alebiosu’s consistency and versatility have made him a leading candidate.

The former Arsenal player has become one of Blackburn’s most reliable performers this season, featuring in 38 Championship matches with 36 starts and over 3,100 minutes played.

He has scored once and provided five assists, while posting an Expected Assists (xA) of 6.37.

Beyond club football, his involvement with the Super Eagles has further boosted his reputation.

Despite the growing interest, Blackburn remain in a strong position, with Alebiosu under contract until June 2028, with an option to extend for an additional year, leaving the club under no immediate pressure to negotiate a sale.
