Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray teammates are set to share a staggering five million euros bonus (approximately ₦8 billion in Nigerian currency) following their emphatic 3-0 victory over fierce rivals Fenerbahçe in the Intercontinental Derby at Rams Park on Sunday.

With the victory, Galatasaray edged closer to a fourth consecutive Super Lig title, extending their lead to seven points ahead of Fenerbahçe with only three matches to play.

Making his first start for the Lion after recovering from an injury that sidelined him for five weeks, Osimhen opened the scoring five minutes before halftime when he brought the ball under control with his chest and finished instinctively with his knee.

Midway through the second half, Barış Alper Yılmaz doubled the advantage. before former Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira added further gloss to the scoreline with seven minutes remaining.

According to Turkish sports daily Fanatik, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has announced that the players will receive a €5 million bonus following the victory in the Istanbul derby.

The €5 million bonus has been described as one of the most financially rewarding wins in Galatasaray's recent history.

Osimhen earns a guaranteed annual salary of €15 million at Galatasaray, in addition to a net loyalty bonus of €1 million per season and €5 million per year in image rights.

The Nigeria international has registered either a goal or an assist in each of his last ten Super Lig appearances, amassing a return of ten goals and four assists over that period.
