Ola Aina named in PL TOTW after Nottingham Forest's biggest win of the season

Football statistics website WhoScored has unveiled its Premier League Team of the Week following the conclusion of Matchday 34, with Ola Aina earning a well-deserved inclusion.

The Nigeria international was recognised for his influential role in Nottingham Forest’s emphatic 5–0 victory over Sunderland, their biggest win of the 2025–2026 campaign.

Vítor Pereira's side delivered a ruthless performance at the Stadium of Light, with goals coming via an own goal and strikes from Chris Wood, Morgan Gibbs-White, Igor Jesus and Elliot Anderson.

The Team of the Week is heavily dominated by Nottingham Forest, who supply seven players, while Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester United, Fulham and West Ham United contribute one apiece.

In goal, Matz Sels is shielded by a back four comprising Aina, Joachim Andersen, Nikola Milenković and Ferdi Kadıoğlu.

The midfield quartet features Jarrod Bowen, Casemiro, Elliot Anderson and Gibbs-White, while Chris Wood and Igor Jesus spearhead the attack.

Against Sunderland, Aina delivered a commanding display, winning five aerial duels—more than any other player on the pitch—while registering one shot, completing 68.6 percent of his passes and drawing two fouls.

The former Chelsea academy product also recorded a game-high four tackles and registered five clearances.
