Joe Aribo has revealed that Rangers must stick to their task if they are to beat RB Leipzig to the Europa League final spot.
Against all expectations, the Scottish Premiership champions saw off Borussia Dortmund to reach the last sixteen and will be looking to cause another upset again when they do battle with RB Leipzig.
The first leg of the Europa League semifinal will take place at Red Bull Arena on Thursday night with the return leg holding at Ibrox Stadium on May 5, 2022.
Aribo has been involved in every single game played by Rangers in the Europa League this season, starting ten games from a possible twelve and has provided three assists.
The Nigeria international and his teammates including defenders Calvin Bassey and Leon Balogun will have to keep an eye on RB Leipzig's in-form striker Christopher Nkunku who has directly participated in 50 goals (30 goals, 20 assists) so far this season.
"The boys were buzzing when we played Dortmund because it’s such a big club," Aribo said to UEFA's official website.
"When we won that, it was like: "OK, we can keep going here; the favourites have been knocked out, so we can keep pushing." And that’s what we’ve done. We can win playing against anyone. If we stick to our task then we can get the win.
"Dortmund and Leipzig being in the same league, it shows that we can do this."
Rangers will face either West Ham United or Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League showpiece if they progress past RB Leipzig in the semifinals.
