Arsenal failed to protect a one-goal lead and lost 2-1 to Liverpool in a Premier League 2 fixture at Meadow Park (Borehamwood, Hertfordshire) on Friday night.
Former Arsenal schoolboy Ovie Ejaria returned to his former club and lasted the distance, Chuba Akpom played his first game for the U23s after picking up an injury in pre-season, while the young defenders Tolaji Bola and Joseph Olowu were unused substitutes.
Both teams had threatened throughout the first half but it ended goalless.
England youth-teamer Reiss Nelson broke the deadlock in the 48th minute, with Nketiah supplying the pass.
On 70 minutes, Brewster equalized for the Reds with a powerful shot before Sam Hart's stunning late free-kick goal in the 90th minute secured three points for the visitors.
