Arsenal have struggled to compete in the Premier League in the last few seasons because of their inconsistency, with the owners refusing to invest on world-class players.
In addition, the north London club have been criticized for their transfer policy, allowing some of their players to run down their contracts and move on as free agents.
Arsenal managed to convince Anglo-Nigerian center forward Folarin Balogun to sign a new deal two months before the end of his contract.
The 19-year-old has clearly got ability and has been projected as one of the top teenagers in British football.
Speaking on the The Kelly and Wrighty Show, Gunners legend Ian Wright has tipped Balogun to be a success after extending his stay at the Emirates Stadium.
"Look where we at the moment, it's like we are a mid-table side," Wright said
"We've got players that I think are good enough, we've got some young players that could be amazing.
"You talk about Balogun, he could be something special but that remains to be seen...."
Balogun is in contention to make his sixth appearance in the Europa League in tonight's season-defining game against Villarreal as he trained with the first team in their final workout on Wednesday.
