Arsenal are hopeful of extending the contract of England youth international of Nigerian descent Bukayo Saka to ward off the interest of Manchester United, Liverpool and clubs outside England including Bayern Munich, the Daily Mail is reporting.
Saka's current deal with the Gunners earns him a measly £3,000 per week, judging by his undoubted qualities as a versatile player who can play as a left winger and left-back.
The Hale End Academy graduate is entering the final 18 months of his contract and would expectedly attract the attention of big sides.
To this end, talks of a contract extension between both parties have begun as the north London enter the final phase of their 2019/2020 season.
Saka first broke into Arsenal's first team last season under former head coach Unai Emery making four senior appearances under the Spaniard.
This season, the youngster who has not played for the England senior side has made 23 appearances in all competitions under Emery, interim coach Freddie Ljungberg and now substantive coach Mikel Arteta.
