FC Porto are reportedly exploring ways to negotiate a reduced fee for Nigerian striker Terem Moffi as they consider making his move permanent at the end of the season.
Moffi joined the Portuguese giants on loan during the winter transfer window following a reported fallout with OGC Nice supporters after a 3-1 defeat to Lorient.
Since his arrival, the Nigerian International has endured a modest spell, registering two goals and one assist in fifteen appearances.
Despite his recent form, FC Porto are still keen to make his move permanent by activating the purchase option in the loan agreement.
According to A Bola via Bolanarede, the Dragons remain intent on making the move permanent but are pushing to negotiate a lower fee than the €8 million valuation.
The Portuguese club are expected to capitalise on the strained relationship between the Nigerian international and the Ligue 1 side, who are reportedly unwilling to welcome Moffi back.
If a deal is reached, Moffi is expected to compete for a starting role alongside Samu Aghehowa and Deniz Gül next season.
With the summer transfer window approaching, the striker will be eager to resolve his future and continue his integration at the Estádio do Dragão.
