Arsenal product Chuba Akpom has made his Champions League debut for his new Greek club.
The Nigerian striker was introduced as a substitute in the 87th minute as PAOK Thessaloniki FC registered a 1-1 draw against Benfica in the Champions League playoffs on Tuesday night.
Prior to yesterday's game at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Akpom was a non-playing substitute in both legs of the third qualifying round against Spartak Moscow.
Scouts in Attendance has tweeted that representatives from English clubs Manchester United, Watford, Brighton & Hove and Southampton were amongst the 44,084 spectators at the stadium, and it is clear they were on a scouting mission.
Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Olympiakos and Montpellier HSC talent spotters were also sighted in the stands.
Akpom ended his sixteen-year association with Arsenal after penning a three-year contract with PAOK this month.
