Former Arsenal youth-teamer Chuks Aneke has given three reasons why he accepted to join Charlton Athletic in the summer transfer window.
The attacking midfielder cum striker rejected penning a new contract at Milton Keynes Dons before moving to the Addicks on a free transfer on July 1.
Aneke explained that he joined Charlton because they are based in London, play in the Championship and have a charismatic coach in Lee Bowyer.
Speaking to Charlton Athletic's official website, he said : ''There was a lot of things: the club is in the Championship now; it’s a London club, I’m a London boy.
''The Gaffer here – Lee is a well-known person that everybody knows, so there’s a lot of reasons why the move to Charlton was very attractive''.
The 26-year-old Aneke has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Charlton Athletic.
He spent thirteen years at Arsenal and made one appearance for their first team prior to his departure in 2014.
