Birmingham City&rsquo;s Viv Solomon-Otabor has been invited to train with Nigeria&rsquo;s Olympic National Team, the Dream Team VI, ahead of their African Under 23 Championship qualifier against Congo in July.<br /><br />The winger had been on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation for some time now after he was recommended to the coaches by their scouting network. <br /><br />At first it was thought that the 19 - year - old would train with the Flying Eagles in their build - up to the Fifa Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand.<br /><br />While he was invited by word of mouth, Birmingham City did not sanction his trip to Africa because they were not officially informed of the trials.<br /><br />This time around, Nigeria Under 23s coach, Samson Siasia, had dotted the i&rsquo;s and crossed the t&rsquo;s by officially calling him up for the get - together in Abuja.<br /><br />Viv&rsquo;s dad, Victor-Banks Otabor, represented the great Bendel Insurance before he relocated his family to the United Kingdom in search of the proverbial golden fleece.<br />
