The number of players in the Super Eagles camp in Abuja has increased to twenty-three following the arrivals of two former Chelsea stars and six invitees based in the United Kingdom.
Chelsea Academy product Ola Aina and his former teammate at Stamford Bridge Kenneth Omeruo have reported for international duty.
Omeruo has not really played much for CD Leganes this season, with only two appearances in the La Liga 2 since the start of November.
Alex Iwobi (Everton), Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi (both Leicester City), William Troost-Ekong (Watford), Frank Onyeka (Brentford) and Semi Ajayi (West Brom) are set to take part in their first training session later today after joining their teammates in Abuja.
Jamilu Collins (SC Padeborn), Tyronne Ebuehi (Venezia), Joseph Aribo (Rangers), Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal) and Odion Ighalo (Al-Shabab Riyadh) were still being expected at the time of this report.
Chukwueze was in action for his Spanish club in a La Liga match on Monday and is expected to join the Super Eagles squad as from today.
The Super Eagles players and officials are due to fly out to Garoua, which has the same climate as Abuja, on Wednesday evening ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations opener against Egypt.
