Former Beşiktaş midfielder Sinan Engin has issued a warning to Victor Osimhen, insisting the forward must not place himself above Galatasaray.
The Nigeria international has come under heavy criticism following a below-par display in Galatasaray’s recent outing against Samsunspor — a match that could have sealed the title with two games to spare.
Yunus Akgün, assisted by Osimhen, opened the scoring after eight minutes, but Samsunspor responded through Marius Mouandilmadji and Cherif Ndiaye to take a 2–1 lead.
Galatasaray’s task was made more difficult in the 63rd minute when goalkeeper Günay Güvenç was sent off for handling the ball outside the area, following a poor back pass from Osimhen.
Although Engin acknowledged the striker's outstanding performances during his loan spell last season, he expressed frustration over what he perceives as a dip in discipline and decision-making.
