With a statement on the official website, newly promoted Eliteserien side Lillestrom have confirmed that former Nigeria U17 international Tochukwu Joseph Ogboji has been loaned to Strømmen for the entirety of the 2026 season.
The teenage central defender has yet to make his senior debut for Lillestrøm since joining the club last winter.
To maintain his match fitness, he featured in eight matches for Lillestrom II in the Norsk Tipping-Ligaen Avdeling 3 last season, logging 617 minutes.
This marks the second loan spell for Ogboji, who spent the second half of last season at Mjøndalen, making eight appearances and scoring once.
The left-footed defender has joined Strømmen on a temporary basis in search of regular playing opportunities, which Lillestrøm are currently unable to provide.
Ogboji, who joined Lillestrøm in early 2025 following a successful trial, is represented by Norwegian-Nigerian agent Atta Aneke, who also manages the affairs of Super Eagles stars Igoh Ogbu, Akor Adams, and Chidera Ejuke.
The short distance between Lillestrøm and Strømmen will allow the Canaries to closely monitor the progress of the former Golden Eaglets player throughout the season
