Queens Park Rangers Director of Football, Les Ferdinand has confirmed that Crystal Palace are among the Premier League teams exploring ways to sign Nigeria-eligible attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.
The onetime Super Eagles invitee has taken the Championship by storm this season, having a hand in 20 goals (12 goals, 8 assists) in 37 games.
Ferdinand has admitted that there's little Queens Park Rangers can do to retain the services of Eze ahead of the next transfer window.
In quotes carried by Team Talk citing The Beautiful Game Podcast, Ferdinand stated : "Crystal Palace made an enquiry but we never got to any fee or any negotiations in terms of what it was going to take. They made an enquiry about him and that was it.
"I think [his future] is out of our hands. We may get an offer we can’t refuse.
"We are trying to build something here but at the same time we know along the way we are going to lose one or two assets.
"Losing those assets will enable us to replenish the squad which because of Financial Fair Play and the way things work in the Championship, for us as a football club that is the only way we can survive and move forward."
The 21-year-old Eze joined Queens Park Rangers in 2016 following his release by Millwall.
