Emmanuel Dennis is one of six players on the shortlist for the Premier League Player of the Month award for November 2021, informs the Premier League on their official website.
The Watford striker is up against Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota, Manchester City pair Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo, and Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn for the monthly accolade.
Dennis was in excellent form in November, scoring and providing chances for his teammates.
The 24-year-old was involved in three of the four goals scored by Watford in a 4-1 rout of Manchester United with one goal and two assists to his name on November 20.
Eight days later against Leicester City, Dennis was on target again and won a penalty converted by Joshua King as the Hornets were beaten 4-2 by Leicester City.
In doing so, Dennis joined a select group of players to directly participate in ten goals within twelve Premier League games, following in the footsteps of Eric Cantona (11 games), Arjen Robben
(11 games), Andrey Arshavin (10 games), Jurgen Klinsmann (12 games) and
Bruno Fernandes (9 games) .
The Watford player could become the fifth Nigerian player to win the Premier League Player of the Month, after Austin Okocha, Peter Odemwingie, Odion Ighalo and Kelechi Iheanacho.
