With a statement on their official website, German Regionalliga Südwest outfit Kickers Offenbach have confirmed the signing of Austrian-born Nigerian defensive midfielder Osarenren Okungbowa.
The 27-year-old, uncapped at international level, is moving to Kickers Offenbach from relegated 3. Liga side VfB Lübeck.
Born in Vienna, Okungbowa spent his formative years as a footballer with the youth teams of SV Hirschstetten, SV Essling, SR Donaufeld Wien and Rapid Vienna.
He has worn the colours of Rapid Vienna, St. Polten and Floridsdorfer AC as a professional.
In his first words after the deal was completed, Okungbowa said : "I am very happy to be able to play at such an emotional club. This is exactly my thing!
"After I was shown the environment and the possibilities, there was no question for me whether I would accept the offer from Kickers Offenbach.
"I want to get fully involved here and be successful with the OFC".
Last season, Okungbowa, who is also comfortable playing as a center-back, appeared in 31 matches in the German third-tier and scored two goals.
