Everton earned a clean sheet in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Sunday evening but probably had the best chance to win the game in the closing minutes.
Toffees legend Leon Osman felt that Everton missed an opportunity to take the maximum points when Brazilian striker Richarlison elected to shoot instead of passing the ball to Iwobi in the second half.
Speaking on the missed chances, Osman said on Premier League Productions after the game at Goodison Park: "There was also moments later when Richarlison I felt had the opportunity to play Iwobi in for a tap in after another quick break.
"Couple of opportunities after what Carlo (Ancelotti) himself described as a good defensive display but nearly an opportunity to take all three points."
Signed from Arsenal just before the close of the summer transfer window, Iwobi has recorded 23 appearances for Everton in all competitions, scoring two goals.
Following their draw against Liverpool, Everton moved to second in the table with 38 points from 30 matches.
