National League side Boreham Wood FC have started running the rule over former Nigeria international Yakubu Aiyegbeni, with a view to offering him a contract. <br /><br />The coaching staff will observe the striker at close quarters on Saturday afternoon when the Wood face Reading in a pre-season fixture.<br /><br />Now 33, Aiyegbeni last represented Kayserispor in Turkey and has also had spells with clubs in Qatar, China, Israel and Portugal.<br /><br />A well-known figure in English football, the Okomu Oil product has represented Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton,&nbsp; Leicester City, Blackburn Rovers and Reading in the past.<br /><br />Boreham Wood are a fifth-tier club in England based in Hertfordshire.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : readingfc.co.uk<br />
