Exclusive: Lukman Zakari To Cancel CS Sfaxien Contract After Playing Seven Competitive Matches
<b>Allnigeriasoccer.com</b> understands that Nigeria U17 Lukman Zakari is back in Kaduna after his trip to Tunisia for contract talks with CS Sfaxien.<br /><br />The Unity Academy starlet and his intermediaries have agreed a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 side which will start running in December 2016 when he would have attained the age of majority.<br /><br />Contrary to reports, a transfer fee of $200,000 was agreed between Unity Academy and CS Sfaxien, with the Nigerian club expected to pocket the sum of $100,000 at the end of this year while the balance will be paid in another installment. <br /><br />Unity Academy have inserted a clause into Zakari’s contract stipulating that they will pocket 20 percent of the transfer fees if the central defender is sold to another club before the expiration of his deal.<br /><br />The 17-year-old will earn $6,000 per month in wages in his first year at CS Sfaxien and will be paid a sign on fee of $50,000.<br /><br />If he manages to play seven competitive matches in his debut season, his contract will automatically be cancelled and be renegotiated.<br /><br />Every week Zakari will train twice with the first team and be with the youth team of CS Sfaxien for the remaining days, and a special coach has been employed to put him through his paces.<br /><br />Bear in mind that the player is still a minor and for that reason CS Sfaxien have not parted with a single cent at this moment, including agency commission and the $50,000 that is supposed to be paid to his parents.<br />
